VERY RARE ROCKING SHIP AUTOMATA

Details:
This wonderful Automaton was built early to mid 20th Century, the ships movement is driven by a clock movement which is attached to a cam beneath the hull of the ship which in turn causes it to raise and fall... when the ships bow is dipped a connection is made via a 9 Volt battery which lights the bulb in the lighthouse.

The case has just been restored with wonderful bracket feet and brass gallery, the movement is hidden behind a removable section at the back of the case (see last image). The background is watercolour painted.
