A truly magnificent Scottish longcase clock with a 8 day movement housed in a very fine case, flame mahogany, with inlays of banding and tiny parquetry, standing 218cm on polished bun feet. The dial although of market Drayton (Shropshire) was likely made for a Local Gentleman/family of Scottish decent, depicting Scottish scenes to each corner with a seated gentleman in kilt with his dog to the arch.
